Have you ever wondered just what goes through a child's mind? Well, here's a little insight from one precocious little girl's point of view.

Time moves on and I suck at keeping up...

Wow, last post was February 7, 2015. Ha ha. I wonder if I will ever get the hang of this blogging thing and keep up with it.

Abby is 8 years old now. She's growing into an amazing young lady and she's still quick as whip. For her birthday she got to have tea with Queen Elsa and it was an amazing moment in her life. After Elsa left Abby comes running up to me and says "Mom! I didn't thin Elsa was real, but I was WRONG!" lol Our family doesn't do Santa or the easter bunny, but that doesn't mean we take all the magic of childhood away.

I'm sorry to say that I haven't been keeping up with writing down everything that was noteworthy since my last post, but I do have a few Abby-isms to share with you guys today. I hope you get as big a laugh out of them as we do. :)

When talking to her dad about animals dying:
"Dad, animals only live until they get shot."

12/10/15
Upon waking Abby up she says "When we get back can I lay on the floor pillow and be a lump? I like being a lump, it makes me feel like myself."

2/28/16
When driving out of our neighborhood, Abby notices the trees marked to be cut down for the city to widen the road. She says, "But it'll destroy the squirrels homes! And the birds! Where will the birds live?! And the bugs that the birds eat and the other critters?? Don't they know what they're ruining?!?!"
Out of the mouths of babes, right?

6/12/16
When she saw the white hairs in her dad's beard and hair:
"Dad, it's like you're old but you're not!"

Her random comment on bacon:
"Bacon shouldn't hurt you. It's made from pigs and pigs are harmless, even when you punch them."

*Disclaimer for all the PETA people in the woodworks- Abby has never seen a pig in person nor has she ever punched one or seen anyone else punch one.

Abby is self-aware...

As I was scrolling through old posts, Abby decides to watch to see what I was doing. As I scrolled back up to the top, she sees the bottom of her photo in  the right sidebar. She says "Ooooh, I see a me coming up!"

This would be our precocious little poppet at her current age. :)

Time passes and changes happen!

Well, since I last posted (a year ago AGAIN), there have been many changes in our lives. Abby is growing (not by much) and is coming up with new things each and every day. It is my intention to pick back up with this blog and keeping up with it in order to share with you all her crazy little sayings. Trust me, you will not be disappointed as you follow along on the journey that is the world of Abby with me. :)

Almost 5 and still a spitfire!

Well folks, it's been almost a year since my last post and I'm sorry for that. Abby is finally doing well and her seizures seem to be a thing of the past. She is still a precocious little thing still who is now coming up on her 5th birthday. Time for another few of her recent thoughts on this and that. :)

The other day we were in Hobby Lobby and she saw one of those miniature dress forms for holding jewelry and such and it had a leopard print dress on it. When she pointed it out, I told her no way. Her response? "Yeah, I don't even really have boobs yet."

Abby was riding her scooter out on the sidewalk in front of our house when a truck from a neighbors house went up the street slowly. Abby watched the man drive by and then cocked her hips, with one hand on her right hip and said "Well somebody sure is looking handsome."

A new adventure

Hello again! It's been a few months since I last posted, but life has gotten seriously busy for Abby and I. She is now 4 years old and is still the same little precocious little bundle of diva-tude. :) Two days after her 4th birthday, she began having seizures that they cannot yet explain. She's also been diagnosed with some severe allergies to every nut known to man. We found that out the hard way when she went into anaphylactic shock about 2 weeks ago. We now carry an epi pen for her with us everywhere. She's such a strong little trooper though and is not letting it slow her down one bit! On that note, and without further adieu, let me fill you in on a some of her newest (some older) sayings and doings.

On her fork being on the floor:
"It fallded by itself. It can fly."

During learning to put her shoes on the right feet:
"Will the police take me if I put my shoe on the wrong foot?"

A few days ago I was in the kitchen and Abby had me pick her up. I was hugging her to me and I told her "I love you Abby, you're my baby girl!" She comes back with "I love you too. You're my baby mama."

Just now she brought me her doodle bear and asked me to wash it. She sets it in my lap and says
"Can you wash her? She's all, all.................discolored!"

I was roused from sleep this morning to the sound of Abby sitting in the hallway singing. She was looking in the mirror that I hung for the kids to be silly in front of. Here is her song:

These are my PeeeeeeeJaaaaaaaays! Oh yeah my peeeeeeeeeeejaaaaaaays and I scratched my hand and that's not nice.

(second verse)
This is a bouncy baaaaaaall (as she holds the ball up to the mirror)! Yes, it's my bouncy baaaaaaaaaaaall! And it's miiiiiiiiiiiine!

I don't know about you guys, but I think she has potential for a recording contract. lol

Hey everyone, it's been a while, but I have a new post for ya after all this time. :)

Yesterday I had a doctors appointment so my best friend Stacey and her mom were over here watching Abby for me. Abby was sitting on Colleens lap trying to answer the question "What is your birds name?" Collen couldn't understand what Abby was saying (which was Pavlo) and so she's saying "Mo mo? Po fo? Po lo?"

Abby turned and looked at her and said "Would you please talk like a human?"  When they told me I almost fell off the couch laughing. I love my little girl. <3
